During our initial conversation with this Anderson, SC homeowner, she told us that she wasn't sure if her roof necessitated a repair or replacement. What she did know was that her roof was at least 11 years old, had a "bubble" in it and a gutter that had pulled loose and was hanging at an odd angle. She called Roof Roof at the recommendation of her son. It was determined that the homeowner did need a full roof replacement.
After removing the existing layer of roofing materials, we located areas of rotted decking, which were then removed and replaced. Before installing the new shingles, synthetic underlayment was applied to the surface. All PVC plumbing boots were replaced. The walls and chimney were step and counter flashed as needed. Finally, Owens Corning Oakridge shingles in Estate Gray were installed and topped off with ridge vent to aid ventilation.
